Podere Montini is a red wine made from Ciliegiolo, the grape that epitomises the Narni terroir. This wine comes from a specific vineyard of the same name, surrounded by trees that form a small woodland. This is a true ‘Cru’ that elevates the character of the grape and reveals its unmistakable characteristics.
The careful cultivation of the vineyard on Narni’s classic marine soils, harvesting at the optimum stage of ripeness, spontaneous fermentation and maceration result in a wine with an elegant, complex and alluring aromatic profile. On the palate, this wine is rhythmic, brilliant in its harmony and flavour. In the glass, Podere Montini displays a particularly luminous ruby red colour. The nose offers refined and multifaceted aromas, characterised by forest fruits, spices and mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is crisp and flavourful, very elegant and deep.
This is a wine that may surprise with its immediate complexity and is ideal for fine meats, though certainly not limited to elaborate dishes. This is a pure wine that can hold its own against all manner of Asian dishes.
