The 708 km Rosso is an elegant and characterful red wine that captures the essence of the Cembra Valley in Trentino. This blend of 60% Schiava and 40% Lagrein comes from carefully selected vineyards between 550 and 780 metres altitude, with south to east exposure. Each member winemaker within the Cembrani DOC consortium supplies grapes from specific plots to work together to create an exceptional cuvée that reflects the soul of the mountain landscape.
The vines grow on porphyry and calcareous soils and are traditionally managed according to the pergola system. After harvesting, the grapes undergo a 15-day peeling with daily pigeage at controlled temperature, followed by gentle pressing and ageing in stainless steel. The result is a ruby red wine with purple hues, intense fruity aromas of berries, a hint of spice, and a fresh, dry palate that lingers for a long time.
Thanks to its fresh structure and gentle spiciness, the 708 km Rosso is a versatile companion to dishes. It goes perfectly with grilled meat, spicy vegetarian dishes, mushroom risotto or a classic Tyrolean speck. A wine that lets the unique combination of terroir, altitude differences and craftsmanship speak in every sip.
